First maintenance

The first maintenance is very important for any new bike. It should be 2 to 4 weeks after you start riding your bike. During this period of time, all the components of the bike are lapped, the new cables are stretched, and the tires sit in their places. Bolts and nuts that are not properly tightened will unscrew and can cause serious problems with your bicycle.

The following problems can occur during the running-in period:

  • Improper shifting of “speeds”;
  • Increased brake lever travel;
  • Play in the carriage, handlebar, bushings, connecting rods;
  • appearance of “eights” on the wheels.
  • straightening octahedrons
  • bicycle brake adjustment
  • linchpin adjustment

It is very important to spend the first maintenance by a qualified bicycle mechanic – in time and enjoy riding the bike
